Function: This position has five primary responsibilities:

1)         Maintain the integrity of inventory in Sherwood, and branches, primarily through cycle counts.

2)         In-house millwork and lumber PO processing.

3)         Provide Sales and Branch personnel inventory support and stock checks.

4)         Support sales and purchasing with common carrier freight shipments and tracking of inbound shipments.

5)         Physical inventory support at Branch locations as needed.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Includes the following.

Inventory Integrity:

Daily short ship follow-up, inventory reconciliation and updates in Epicor calculated using Excel, update mapping, and provide report summary to Jesse Ylvisaker.

Perform daily inventory reconciliation using Epicor reports and Excel.

Update mapping discrepancies as found.

Perform cycle counts as scheduled and when discrepancies are identified.

Review the negative quantity RIS and correct Epicor as able.

Add new skus as needed.

Assist with FSC and Bank audits as needed.

Review causes of inventory discrepancies to determine process improvements.

Month-end duties as needed to finalize the month.

In-House Millwork and Lumber PO Processing:

Upon completion, review and update customer millwork orders, associated purchase orders, and costing worksheets for in-house production orders and finalize inventory into Epicor.

Update and review lumber files received by our lumber receiving cell.

Promote the use of lower value and slow turning material when practical in millwork.

Sales and Branch Personnel Inventory Support:

 Stock checks for sales personnel as needed.

Assist branch transfer requests with visual stock checks required of Sherwood inventory.

Receiving and Common Carrier Support: 

Source freight quotes and arrange shipping for purchases and sales requiring outside services.

Maintain Inbound Shipments List.

Back up receiving when needed.

Physical Inventory Support:

Help perform physical inventory in Sherwood.

Help perform physical inventories at Branch locations.

Other Duties as Assigned:

Member of Safety Committee

Point out safety and 5S issues to the safety committee.

Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, to write detailed correspondence, and to communicate information to customers and employees in English.

Ability to learn and use software computer applications, to include Microsoft Office Suite and Epicor.

Ability to drive a forklift and must be forklift certified.
