Key Responsibilities:

– Manage and review welding work

– Ensure parts are fitted, aligned, and secured correctly

– Interpret blueprints and organize components

– Document issues and adjustments

– Maintain safety standards

Essential Functions:

– Welding: Repair or rebuild metal structures and equipment

– Inspection: Identify malfunctions and determine repair needs

– Estimates: Prepare estimates for materials and supplies

– Prioritization: Set work priorities for the shop

– Coordination: Work with other departments to complete orders

– Safety: Ensure safety precautions are followed

– Maintenance: Keep the welding area and machines in good condition

Welder Responsibilities:

– Read measurements and interpret blueprints

– Participate in product development meetings

– Verify dimensions and product specs

– Meet quality control standards

– Use shop equipment (e.g., welder, plasma cutter, grinder)

– Maintain production schedules and report problems

– Keep a safe and clean work environment

– Communicate openly and maintain a positive attitude

– Operate a forklift and assist with common areas
