Function: This position fulfills all the duties of a warehouse worker, moulder operator, and millworker including, but not limited to, driving forklift, machine feeder and off bearer, machine operations with the responsibility of ensuring accuracy of Ripping, Sanding and Molding.  Also, the ability to pull orders efficiently and accurately for out the door orders.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Molder Operator /off bearer
a. Operates and off bears behind Molder
b. Molder maintenance
c. Knife Grinding
2. Sander Operator/off bearer:
a. Operates and off bears behind sander
b. Racks/stacks lumber
c. Identifies belt problems on lumber surface
d. Changes sander belts when need to ensure quality
e. Keeps area clean
f. Learn the complete operation of the sander and millwork process
3. Planer Operator/off bearer:
a. Sets up and off bears in front and behind planer
b. Stacks lumber
c. Identifies surface problems on lumber
d. Sets planer thickness
4. Rip saw Operator/off bearer:
a. Sets up an off bears behind saw
b. Stacks lumber
c. Identifies dimension problems on lumber
d. Changes arbor and shoes when needed
e. Assist with all tallies after production
f. Keeps area clean
g. Learn the complete operation of the Rip Saw and Millwork process
5. Chop Saw Operator
a. Safety must be of highest concern when operating the
chop saw.  Know what to do in case of emergency before operating
b. Set up and chop various lengths
c. Identify dimensional problems with lumber
d. Label and tally lumber correctly
e. Keeps area around saw clean
6. Dust collection use and knowledge
a. Start up and Shut down procedures
b. Proper safety is practiced; goggles, dust mask
c. Clark Pyro Guard Knowledge and use
d. Empty dust collection bins, clam shell into trucks
7. General Skills
a. Limited grading and specie identification skills
b. Basic understanding of upper grades in each category
c. Proper operation of hand banding machine and banding chopper machine
d. Knowledge of forklift operation
e. Knowledge of complete order process
f. Stacks lumber according to standard unit width and proper sticker placement
g. Practices the proper safety techniques required on the job

Ability to learn and use software computer applications, to include Microsoft Office Suite and Activant.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This job requires regular work inside; constantly working near moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and constantly exposed to vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Starting wage: $22 – $25 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
