Production/Manufaturing – Day shift!

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our team. Our client is a full-service packaging manufacturer specializing in corrugated materials, thermaforming, vacuum forming, Foams, Transit Cases, Crate/Pallets, Fulfillment. Your precision and craftsmanship will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and secure transportation of delicate products to our valued customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Crate Assembly: Construct shipping crates according to specifications using foam products suitable for protecting plastic carrying cases during transit.

2. Measurement and Cutting: Accurately measure and cut foam materials to fit the dimensions of various plastic cases, ensuring a snug and secure fit.

3. Foam Layering: Layer foam materials strategically to provide maximum cushioning and protection for delicate items placed inside the crates.

4. Adherence to Guidelines: Follow established guidelines and procedures for crate assembly to maintain consistency and product quality.

5. Quality Assurance: Inspect finished crates to verify the integrity of the foam layers, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards.

6. Material Handling: Safely handle and store foam materials and other necessary components used in crate construction.

7. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels of foam products, alerting supervisors when replenishment is required.

8. Equipment Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment used in crate assembly in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or issues promptly.

9. Workplace Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

10. Collaboration: Coordinate with the production team and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.

Qualifications:

– High School Diploma or equivalent.
– Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in crate assembly or packaging.
– Knowledge of working with foam materials and understanding their properties.
– Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
– Proficient in using hand tools such as cutting knives, adhesives, and measuring instruments.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
– Physical stamina to lift and handle materials and equipment.
– Team player with good communication skills.
– Safety-conscious and proactive in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
