Our client is a leading company specializing in custom plastic injection molding and manufacturing. They are committed to quality and innovation, and are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join their team as a Part-Time Manufacturing Purchasing Clerk.
Job Description:
As a Part-Time Manufacturing Purchasing Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting with the procurement of materials and supplies necessary for our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with suppliers, maintain inventory records, and ensure timely and accurate ordering of products.
Key Responsibilities:
– Process purchase orders and requisitions for manufacturing supplies and materials.
– Maintain accurate inventory records and track stock levels.
– Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and follow up on orders.
– Verify and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
– Assist in resolving any issues related to order discrepancies or delivery delays.
– Prepare reports on inventory levels, order status, and purchasing activities.
– Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand material needs and production schedules.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
– Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a similar role preferred.
– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with purchasing software.
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 4-5 hours per day (Part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week).
Wage: $ 20- $24 per hour based on experience.
