Job Title: Welder/Fitter

Day Schedule: Monday – Friday  from 6:00am – 2:30pm

Swing Schedule: Monday – Friday  from 2:30pm – 11:00pm

Pay Range: $22 – $26/hr – DOE

Job Description:

Will be doing primarily MIG and wire feed (.045 wire feed) welding. Some fitting/fabrication as required. Usage of robotic welding machines to achieve high quality and maximum strength welds on a wide range of metal sizes, with little or no distortion.

Qualifications:

• Must have MIG welding experience – working with structural or thick plate steel in a fast paced production environment, preferably 3 years. Must also have fitting/fabrication experience.
• Must be able to read blueprints and understand weld symbols (prescreening with client will include weld test and exam on blueprints and weld symbols)
• Should have the ability to perform all manual and semi-automatic welding processes and be capable of certifications.

• Yaskawa/Motoman- MA1900 Robotic Welder
• Pendant-DX100
• Robot and system error recovery
• Program creation & editing
• Robotic welding fundamentals
• Basic understanding of the GMAW process
• Familiarity with: Touch Sense, Comarc, Position Variables, Creating Arc Files, Creating Weave Files, Creating photograph- based set up sheets.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Constant standing and frequent walking
• Constant body movements including twisting/bending and frequent kneeling or squatting
• Constant gripping and frequent reaching/wrist movements
• Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds routinely. Pushing routinely up to 100 pounds.
• Able to kneel, squat, twist and bend
• Steel-toed boots (and metatarsal guards) REQUIRED!!
• Work is performed indoors but climate will be impacted by opening/closing of bay doors; so, conditions will range from hot to cold. Frequent loud noises and metallic smells
